CARNIVAL

 Festivals provide a great platform for students to show-case their talent. Recently, I and my classmates got an opportunity to participate in the most awaited annual festival, organized by Karachi Grammar School.

The festival was held on 9th of Jan 2022. As the festival was zonal so other schools also came from all over the city. The multiple competitions were to be held. It was also a moment of gratefulness as we got the opportunity to represent our school on International level.

I and other students enjoyed a lot in the carnival. There was also a music competition in which we were also participating. There were a lot of mashup songs. Our performance was great and were awarded with third position and we were really happy with that.

Now its time for last competition which is of 'Oil Paintings', in which I solely participated. My turn was 

at last. I was anxiously waiting for my turn but deep inside I was a bit nervous. When my turn came I walked up the stage, our school was shouting and cheering for me. When the timer began the competition started. I and everyone dripped the brush in the paints and started making paintings on canvas. I made a painting of an ancient temple that left everyone mesmerised. Yeah I did it! And I won the trophee, a gold medal and 10,000 rupees for our school. Our principal also appreciated all our team for our effort.

Participating in the festival was very beneficial for us as we got interacted with new people and made new friends and learnt something new. We got inspiration from others. The most important thing, participating in this festival built our confidence.
