SHAB-E-MAIRAJ
'Shab' means 'Night' and 'Mairaj' means 'Ascension'. Basically Shab-e-Mairaj is a night-based journey which was done by Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). The journey started from the Holy mosque of Makkah via Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem and ended after reaching heaven. 'Shab-e-Mairaj' is celebrated on the 27th day of Rajab month of Islamic Calendar and Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) did this journey to heaven in the period of 621 CE. In the year of grief when Holy Prophet (S.A.W) lost the clan protection of Hazrat Abu Talib (RA)(His Uncle), and the support of Hazrat Khadija (RA)(His wife). He was very much disturbed because the revelation also stopped for sometimes and He had no success in His religion. In this condition Allah Almighty blessed Him with a sacred night journey (ascension).
