Saif-ul-Mulook is a mountainous lake located at the northern end of the Kaghan Valley, near the town of Naran in the Saif-ul-Mulook National Park. The lake Saif-ul-Mulook is named after a legendry Prince. A fairy tale called Saif-ul-Mulook, written by the Sufi poet Mian Muhammad Bakhsh, talks of the lake. It tells the
story of the Egyptian Prince Saif-ul-Mulook who fell in love with a fairy princess named Princess Badri-ul-Jamal at the lake.
Ansoo Lake is a tear-shaped lake located in Kaghan Valley in Mansehra District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the province of Pakistan. It is located at an elevation of 4245 metres above sea-level and considered one of the highest lakes of the Himalaya range. The story of this lake is linked to Saif-ul-Mulook Lake. It is said that there was a prince in Kaghan named Saif-ul-Mulook, who fell in love with a Princess fairy named Badari-ul-Jamal. Their love story was not an easy one as a demon named Duo Safaid (White Giant) was also in love with the fairy Princess. He trapped her but later it come to his knowledge how she wanted to marry the Prince Saif-ul-Mulook. On realizing his defeat in love he started to cry so much that it formed a lake, which is now known as Ansoo Jheel.
Deosai National Park is a high altitude alpine plain and National Park located between Astore, Kharmang and Skardu districts in Gilgit-Baltistan. The Deosai Plateau hosts the only stable population in the region and is important for its continued survival.
Baltoro Glacier is located in Karakoram, Pakistan, is one of the world's largest valley glaciers. It drains an area of about 1500 square kilometres and is 60 kilometre long. At 63 kilometres (39 miles) in length, the Baltoro glacier is one of the longest non-polar glaciers in the world. It is located in the Gilgit Baltistan region of Pakistan, home to some of the world's highest mountains.
Attabad lake is a lake located in the Gojal region of Hunza Valley in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It was created in Jan, 2010 as the result of a major landslide in Attabad. The lake has become one of the biggest tourist attractions in Gilgit-Baltistan, offering activities like boating, jet-skiing, fishing and other recreational activities.
The Trango Towers are a family of rock towers situated in Gilgit-Baltistan, in the north of Pakistan. The towers offer some of the largest cliffs and most challenging rock climbing in the world and every year a number of expeditions from all corners of the globe visit Karaoram to climb the different granite.
