A MOMENT WHEN YOU REALIZED THE TRUTH THAT WAS HIDDEN FROM YOU
It was the warm sunny morning of April 2016. As per my daily routine I woke up for going to school. I took the piece of bread for breakfast and my van came. I was going when suddenly my grandfather started coughing very badly. And I did not know that this is the last time I am seeing him, as I was very close to him more than my parents. I asked my parents that can I stay at home for my grandfather but they disagreed and said that today is my last paper so I should go. I agreed with their reason.
I went to school but deep inside I was very much worried about my grandfather's health. I came to home after giving paper no one was at home. I asked the neighbours so they said that they will be back shortly. I changed my clothes and went to tuition. At 6pm when I came everybody was like nothing happened because they decided they would not tell me anything. I was searching for my grandfather then I asked my mother that where is he so she said that he is with his friends and will come tomorrow, I agreed with their reason, ate dinner and went to sleep.
Next morning when I woke up earlier I remembered that I forgot to tell my father an important thing so I ran towards my father's room, he was talking with someone on phone so I stopped outside the room, suddenly I heard that he was saying yeah he is no more, RIP and etc. I entered the room he dropped the call suddenly. I asked him that who is no more, he began to cry as my grandfather was his father and said your grandfather is no more. When you were in school he was continuously coughing very badly so we took him to hospital, the doctors told us we have to admit him urgently as he was having Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). After half an hour doctors came out with tired expression and told we are sorry, he is no more.
Tears rolled down from my eyes as he was my biggest supporter and my best friend. For about two-three months I was in grief. This was the moment when I realized the truth that was hidden from me. My parents said that your grandfather's last words were "I love you my granddaughter and all the best for your future journey."
